On Thursday 18th November, The Bulmershe School were delighted to welcome Year 3 pupils and members of staff from Highwood Primary School.
Mr Hulley and our wonderful Year 9 transition ambassadors developed pupils’ knowledge on how to light a fire, drawing on their prior knowledge about the Stone Age topic.
The Year 3 pupils thoroughly enjoyed themselves as they collected different size sticks from the field and watched the lighting of the fire with excitement. All pupils were given the exciting opportunity to toast a marshmallow on the fire and eat this, all with the support of our transition ambassadors.
Our transition ambassadors were true assets to the event and fantastic role models. It was wonderful to see them being caring, supportive and organised to support the lesson running very smoothly. Well done and thank you!
